They compete in the Saudi Pro League, the top division in Saudi football, and have achieved remarkable success over the years. Established in 1937, Al-Ahli boasts an impressive record of 34 official championships, making them one of the most successful clubs in the country. Domestically, Al-Ahli has secured three Saudi Professional League titles, along with an impressive 13 Kings Cups, six Crown Prince Cups, a General League Shield, and a Super Cup. In international competitions, they have clinched three GCC Champions League titles and one Arab Club Championship. Notably, Al-Ahli was the first Saudi club to achieve a double victory in both the league and the King's Cup during the same season, accomplishing this feat in 1978 and again in 2016. As one of the founding members of the Saudi Pro League, Al-Ahli enjoyed a long-standing tenure in the top-flight division until the 2021-22 season. They share the distinction of being founding members with Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Nassr. Additionally, Al-Ahli holds the impressive record for the longest unbeaten streak in the league, spanning an impressive 51 matches from 2014 to 2016. Al-Ahli plays their home games at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, also known as the shining jewel Stadium. This stadium, which they share with their city rivals Al-Ittihad, is the second-largest stadium in Saudi Arabia, boasting a total capacity of approximately 63,000 spectators. The club has been home to many talented players over the years, with notable Saudi players including Taisir Al-Jassim, Khalid Massad, Amin Dabo, Mohamed Abd Al-Jawad, Malek Mouath, and Yasser Al-Mosailem.
