Western Sydney Wanderers

They participate in the top-tier A-League competition under the authority of the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), previously managed by the Football Federation Australia (FFA). The club has achieved significant success both domestically and internationally, claiming an A-Leagues Premiership and an AFC Champions League title in its history. Established in April 2012 by the FFA, Wanderers was created with a strong emphasis on community engagement. Through a series of community forums throughout Western Sydney, the club's name, colors, culture, and playing style were determined. In their inaugural season, the club set records by winning an A-League premiership and reaching the 2013 A-League Grand Final. They continued their success by finishing as runners-up in the 2014 A-League Grand Final and achieving second place in their second season in the league. Additionally, in their debut season in the Champions League, they became the first Australian team to win the tournament. The club is headquartered in Blacktown and currently plays their matches at Western Sydney Stadium, following the closure and demolition of their original home ground, Parramatta Stadium, in 2017. The club also operates an academy youth team in the National Youth League and the National Premier Leagues NSW, as well as a women's team in the W-League, who play matches at various venues across Western Sydney. Furthermore, they have a Powerchair Football team competing in the NSW Western Division Powerchair Football League, with games held at Football NSW Headquarters.
